Get your mozzie repellent ready for Australia Day!
30 Jan. 2018 -- Posted by :As many of us head to the bottlo to stock up ready for Australia Day, there is one thing you might want to add to your shopping list.............. some form of mozzie repellent!
Over the years studies have shown the mozzies love to get on booze just as much as we do!
A Japanese Study published in the Journal of the American Mosquito control Association demonstrated that drinking 350ml of beer increased the landing rates of mosquitoes.
Studies such as the “2010 Beer Consumption Increases Human Attractiveness to Malaria Mosquitoes” have also shown that just 15 minutes after drinking 2 pints of beer (a little less than 3 schooners by Australian standards), beer drinking volunteers attracted more mosquitoes.
So with the combination of the hot weather and flowing beer this Australia day you may want to invest in some mozzie repellent to help you and your family avoid those mosquitoes.
